Doha Flights from Birmingham Airport with Qatar Airways

Even more exciting times ahead for Birmingham Airport with the announcement that there will be new Doha flights with Quatar Airways starting up in Spring 2016.  The route will fly up to 8 times per week to Hamad International Airport which is based in the capital of the Middle Eastern country of Qatar.

This is seen as a feather in the cap for the UK’s second city airport which already hosts daily flights from major airlines such as Emirates who fly daily to Dubai.  The eight scheduled flights per week means that a capacity of over 100,00 travelers can use the service, traveling on to the Asia, Africa and Australasia.

The link up with Qatar Airlines is tenth airline to announce a route from Birmingham Airport in 2015 making it one of the fastest growing UK airports.  The route offers travelers a choice of over 150 routes with onward connection via Doha.

It is through that the route will start in March and consist of a daily flight with two flights on a Saturday.  The route will be serviced by the state of the art Boeing 787 Dreamliner which will have over 200 Economy Class seats and over 20 in Business Class.

The daily Doha flights will open up Birmingham to international tourism as well as providing excellent business links with the Middle East and beyond.  Qatar Airlines also offer daily flights from Edinburgh and Manchester airports and with this addition over 70 flights per week will depart the UK to Doha.
